CRAZY DAYS
I'm officially half way through my mid term break and I haven't hit a mathematical lick......*sigh* My mid-term is on Tuesday *whoopie* (and I don't mean like Goldberg hahahahahaha) Anyhoo... having such a hectic few weeks life has officially plateaued. Its really nice not having to worry about school... every milli-second of my day. This probably won't last longer than a few days but its a good strain off my brain for a while. My video production teacher wants us to produce 3 more productions before the end of the semester...which is in like two months Thats gonna be tough. Not to mention my weekly photojournalism journal updates as well as Biology and Math. Life *sigh*, it only get crazier I'm using this time to make sure that my seat belt is securely fastened because the next seven weeks are going to be a bumpy ride.
Next Friday will be the first time that our photojournalism class will be going out to take pictures...there's bound to be more hilarious stories to come so no worries. My best friend and I have currently started this blog that keeps people up to date with music, fashion and basically just entertainment.

LAZY WAYS
Its so strange the way that information can manipulate your mind. The more you know the more it influences you without even knowing it. While talking to my best friend the other day about photography in the Bahamas, I finally came to grips with everything my photojournalism teacher has been saying all these weeks. Its like currently there has been a surge in Bahamian commercial photographers. There are hardly any good photojournalists. Looking at American and European photography, it differs so drastically from the Caribbean and us in the Bahamas.
I just don't get it. The commercial photographers have such raw talent but they feel that just because they take "pretty" pictures and people tell them "aw I want you take my pick-chaz" that its all good. But at the end of the day, what are you doing to help your country BESIDES breathing false ideas into young girls minds that they will be anything near a model??? What do your pictures mean? Do they have meaning? Who are you helping?
Too long has Bahamian people been complacent with everything they do. "Aw I'm good at drawing so I'll draw a few things for people to tell me ' boy they hard eh!!" GOD GAVE USE TALENTS use them wisely. Just because you have Bahamian attached to you it doesn't mean that you can't go places in this world.
Its good to foster your creative side or whatever but why not try and further what you're doing? Take a photography class if you're so passionate about what you're doing. Carve out your talent so that you can leave your footprint in the earth when you're gone. Hardly no one will remember a pretty picture but they will remember one that changed the way Bahamian people see things.
Knowledge is Power
Beauty is temporary
Use them both
You'll be legendary
