A Journey

JAOW!!,

If today wasn't the most interesting day... I don't know what was...

So I'm taking this photojournalism class right and we have this project where we have to choose between 5 topics (Health, Education, Government, Religion and Culture) and take a picture to edit in photoshop. All this is good and the likes, until you actually have to go out and take the pictures. So I chose culture and decided to take a trip downtown to a place that is thriving with all things cultural. Sooo I make it to Rawson's Square and there are all these black menacing cars so I took the photo (easy right?! Maybe too easy) So after I took the picture I crossed the street to speak with one of the policemen that was outside in hopes of finding out more information as to why the cars were there. So while I'm gathering information this other police officer comes over and says "You smell nice" I'm like 'weird" and I continue listening to the original police. Then he asks "How old are you?" The questions seemed honest enough so I said "Twenty," and continued my conversation. When I was done he says "You're such a cute 20." I thanked them as quickly and politely as I could to mask my uncomfortableness and left them....I rounded the corner...stopped and thought..."DID THAT GRAND-DADDY POLICE JUST HIT ON ME." *sigh* what is this world coming tooo. But you know what...I've read Cheryl Albury's "Waiting for Love" Stafford ain't gonna have me for no fool..ha

So the rest of the trip was uneventful as it could possibly be until I got around to the back of the warf near Senior Frogs. I have my camera in hand...not on...and just looking around. Then there's these two jounser men near the entrance of Senior frogs...one of them proceeded to stop their conversation, walk over and cuss me out....I was so E-M-B-A-R-A-S-S-E-D! Wow the tourists in the back by the straw market were pointing and looking at me like I was his company. He even called me the B word....and told me that I was a stupid F'n A and that I would not get F'n him.....and he was like following me....SHAMENESS!

After I'd managed to dodge a jounser bullet, I came upon a Jamaian man probably in his late 30's early 40's rowing with a Bahamian woman in her 50's or 60's. H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S! She's so mad and he's trying to get away from her. She tries to get her scissors to stab the man while saying "Ya'll Jamaicans is wan come here....YUNNA too biggity!" They got into a fist grapple...I started to take the picture but the man he stopped when he saw my camera...haha

Anyhoo...for the first time it was kind of a shock to be thrown out in the open unprotected...still It was interesting to have experienced it. I'm going again tomorrow, I'll blog again if anything exciting happens..lol
