Last Thursday me and my bestie went to this Bahamian photography exhibition "Kinesis." We'd been planning on the evening since July and were hella excited. We got all dressed up looking all sharp and pretty which is a rare event within itself. So we arrive and enter the ballroom to purchase our tickets, V.I.P. btw $75. Well the show begins and there's this guy that's singing the national anthem....well about halfway through, he forgets the tune ( I believe mainly because of too much curls in his singing) so me n my friend were like dying laughing. Inside the general section, we saw the photos. They were good...nothing too over the top or eye catching. After the performances, I got myself a glass of wine and headed off to the V.I.P. SECTION. *whoop whoop*
Pros:
Spending time with my best friend
Getting dressed up
Taking pictures
Seeing something actually in play by a Bahamian
Hearing Andre's story out of his mouth
Cons:
Bummer to spend $75 on crappy V.I.P. tickets that were not worth it.
The people were boring
The acts were boring
Just not enough entertainment on the whole.
In the end I hope the photographer looks back at the experience, takes the feedback and produces a better, more entertaining, V.I.P. worthy and a better photography, experience. Maybe I'll go again in the next like 10 years or something.... by then it should be 10 times better than this one and then the tickets would be worth the money.
